Jared Wiskind
My story begins roughly 20 years ago when for an unknown reason I developed debilitating, radiating pain down my left leg into my foot. I worked diligently to rid myself of the pain, trying chiropractic, physical therapy, acupuncture, cupping therapy, epidurals, and medications. Ultimately none of these things worked and at the ripe old age of 26 I had low back surgery. No regrets here. I tried everything I could without having to go under the knife. The surgery was a huge success, for the 1st time in 6 years I woke up with no pain, and I could put my pants on and tie my shoes without having to be a contortion artist to get it done. This very personal experience changed me to the core. I knew there were other people out there suffering as I had, I decided I wanted to help them. I wanted to hopefully help them (you) avoid some of the same pitfalls that I experienced, to hopefully avoid all the problems in the first place.
So, I decided to change careers and to go to back Chiropractic school at the age of 29. I graduated from Life University in 2005 cum laude. I now practice in Downtown Roswell and specialize in sports/athletes, family, and extremity adjusting. I am a certified Kinesio Taping practitioner, certified Graston Technique provider, and certified Movement Specialist, providing me with the expertise to care for athletes across all sports. I have also developed a diverse array of techniques to care for the whole body. As a weekend athlete, I have enjoyed working with both amateur and professional athletes. I served as the Team Chiropractor for the GA Force during the 2012 season and currently work with several of the local high schools providing care to their student-athletes. In my spare time, I enjoy hockey, skiing, swimming, running the trails, and spending time with my wife and two children.
